Simpatico Terms of Service

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Simpatico Solutions LLC · Michigan, United States
Effective date: October 9, 2026
Questions: support@besimpatico.com

1. What you're agreeing to

These Terms are a contract between you and Simpatico Solutions LLC ("Simpatico," "we," "us"). They cover the website at besimpatico.com, the app at app.besimpatico.com, and everything in it.

You agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy when you create an account or buy something — each of those screens says so next to its button. If you don't agree, don't use Simpatico.

You must be at least 18 to use Simpatico. It's a workplace product for adults.

2. What Simpatico is — and is not

Simpatico is a workplace self-awareness tool. You take an assessment about how you work and get a Personal User Manual plus deeper reports. There's a daily check-in and an AI assistant called SIA. A team version, Playbook, opens later in 2026.

Simpatico is not a health or medical product, and nothing in it is medical advice. It is not a wellness, clinical or diagnostic product, and it does not diagnose anything. Some fields let you write freely. Anything you choose to share there is yours — we do not treat it as health information, and we do not ask for it.

Nothing in Simpatico is professional advice. Its reports and SIA are not medical, mental-health, psychological, legal, financial, career or employment advice, and Simpatico is not a psychological test or a clinical assessment.

Scores are heuristics, not predictions. Every score, threshold and multiplier in Simpatico was set by hand based on judgment — not fitted to data, not validated against outcomes. Nothing Simpatico produces predicts whether you'll succeed, get along with someone, or anything else. It's a structured way of describing how you work, meant to start useful conversations. Treat it that way.

Simpatico is not a hiring instrument. Its reports describe working style, not competence or suitability. They are not designed, validated or audited for hiring, promotion, discipline or termination decisions, and must not be used for them.

3. SIA

SIA is the AI assistant inside Simpatico.

SIA is a thinking partner. It makes suggestions and can be wrong — talk the important ones through with people who know your situation.

SIA is not a coach, not a therapist, not a counselor, and not a substitute for any of them. It works only from what you've told Simpatico. It can misread things. Do not rely on it for decisions that matter without checking with real people.

In an emergency, SIA can't help. If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (in the US) or your local emergency number.

4. AI-generated content can be wrong

Your reports, your Today report and SIA's replies are all written by an AI model from an outside AI provider (Anthropic, or Google Cloud as a backup — see the Privacy Policy). We instruct it to write only from your data and not to invent facts. It still can. A report may describe you inaccurately, overstate a pattern, or be plainly wrong.

You are responsible for judging whether a report is accurate before acting on it or sharing it. We don't guarantee accuracy, and we're not liable for decisions you or anyone else makes based on generated content.

5. Your account

One email, one account. You can hold more than one account (say, a personal one and a work one), but each has its own email and they're never linked.

Keep your credentials safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has access, use "Sign out everywhere" in your settings and reset your password.

Don't create accounts to get around limits. The Free tier gives one assessment and one Personal User Manual. Making extra accounts to get more is a breach of these Terms.

Keep your details accurate. Your full name prints on your Personal User Manual. We send account and legal notices to your account email, and you agree to receive them that way.

6. Your data is yours

As between you and us, your answers, check-ins, notes, SIA conversations and the reports generated from them belong to you. We claim no ownership of them.

What we may do with your data: store it, process it to run the product, send it to our AI providers to write your reports and SIA's replies, count how the app is used, use your manual rating and "What's off?" notes to learn what the manuals get wrong, send you the emails the Privacy Policy describes, pass it to the outside services the Privacy Policy names so they can do their jobs, include it in team aggregates if you're on a team (in the way the Privacy Policy describes), use it to support you if you ask for help, and comply with the law and enforce these Terms.

What we may not do: show your individual data to a manager or organization · sell it · use it for advertising · train AI models on it · or keep it after you delete your account. These aren't settings. They're rules.

You grant us a license to do only the things in the "may" list, for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, that license ends and the data is erased.

Things we make that aren't yours: the assessment itself, the scoring system, the report formats, the prompts, the brand, and the software. You can't copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or resell them.

Ideas you send us. If you send us suggestions about Simpatico, we may use them without owing you anything. (Your manual rating and "What's off?" notes are your data, handled as the Privacy Policy says.)

Prices are in US dollars and don't include sales tax. Where we're required to collect tax, it's added at checkout. We can change prices for new purchases. If you have a subscription, it keeps the price you bought it at for as long as it stays active.

No refunds on one-time purchases

The $4.99 four-report bundle and the $19.99 AI ReadMe are final sale. There are no refunds.

Why: the content is generated and delivered the moment you pay, so it can't be returned, and the price is deliberately low. For the $4.99 bundle, you can read a full sample of each available report before you buy. The checkout says "Final sale — no refunds" before you pay — next to the sample link for the $4.99 bundle, and directly under the buy button for the AI ReadMe. Career Compass is part of the $4.99 bundle and is coming soon: if you buy the bundle before it arrives, you get it when it arrives, at no extra cost. We haven't promised a date.

Your purchase is yours the instant the payment succeeds — even if generating a report fails or takes time. We'll fix generation. The purchase is not affected.

Moving from the $4.99 reports to Blueprint. The $4.99 isn't credited toward Blueprint.

Subscriptions

Blueprint and Playbook renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly, yearly or two-yearly, whichever you chose — and we charge the card on file the price of your plan, plus any tax, until you cancel. Checkout shows these renewal terms next to the button before you pay, and we email you a copy that says how to cancel. If your plan is yearly or longer, we email you a reminder 15 to 45 days before it renews.

Cancel any time online, from the settings inside the app — no call or email needed. For Blueprint, the account holder cancels. For Playbook, the organization's admin cancels. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep full access until the end of the period you've paid for.

No refunds for partial periods. If you cancel mid-period, you keep access to the end of the period, and there's no refund for the unused part. If you delete your account while on Blueprint, the subscription ends at once, with no refund for the rest of the period (section 11). Playbook seats that are freed up return to the organization's pool; they are not refunded or prorated.

If you're charged twice for Blueprint by mistake — you pay for it while you already have it — we cancel the second subscription at once, refund that charge in full, and email you to say so.

What happens when a subscription ends — "frozen": everything you already have stays readable, forever. Your reports, your check-in history, your past Today reports — all still yours to read. What stops is creating new things: no new check-ins, no new reports, no new SIA conversations. Paying gates creating, never reading. One-time purchases are unaffected.

If your card fails, you keep full access while Stripe retries, and we'll show you a notice. Only if Stripe gives up does the account go frozen. Update your card and it resumes.

If you dispute a charge with your bank, we may pause paid features while it's resolved.

Usage limits. Some features have limits — the number of SIA messages a month, how many times you can retake the assessment and rewrite your reports, the free week. Limits are shown in the product. They're there to prevent abuse, not to nickel-and-dime you, and we may adjust them.

Payments are handled by Stripe

We never see your card number. Stripe's terms apply to the payment itself.

8. Sharing

You can share reports by public link. A shared link can be read by anyone who has it, and it always shows your current report. You can turn any link off at any time; that's final, and sharing again makes a new link. Links don't expire on their own, and search engines are told not to list them. A PDF you download is a copy and can't be turned off once you send it. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

You decide who gets your links. Turning a link off stops it working, but it can't take back what someone already read or saved.

Some reports — the Boss Cheat Sheet and Coworker Cheat Sheet — exist to be handed to people you work with. Sharing them is the point. Sharing by link is your choice, every time. Joining a team shares them with that team (section 9).

9. Teams and organizations

Teams open later in 2026. This section applies once they do.

Accepting on behalf of an organization. When you create an organization in Simpatico, you accept these Terms for that organization, and you confirm you have the authority to do so. If you don't, don't create it.

What a manager or admin may do: invite members, manage seats, view team aggregates and the Team Playbook, and use hiring features if the organization has them.

What a manager or admin may not do: see any individual member's raw answers, check-in score, notes or SIA conversations. The database won't allow it, and trying to get around that is a breach of these Terms.

Organizations agree not to use Simpatico to discriminate, to surveil individuals, or to make employment decisions based on a member's individual profile. The data isn't yours to use that way. It belongs to the person.

Seats are owned by the organization. Paid seats have a 90-day minimum tenure and can be reassigned at most twice a year, except for terminations (which require a recorded reason). Hiring credits belong to the organization and persist if the subscription lapses.

When someone leaves a team, their data is copied to a personal account they control. The organization's copy of their team data stays until the organization closes the seat. The two are never linked again. The organization doesn't get the personal copy; the person doesn't lose what they built.

One organization per business domain. Organizations are gated by email domain. We may limit the number of free organizations and review new ones.

10. Acceptable use

Don't:

  • share someone else's report, link or data without their consent
  • use Simpatico to surveil, discriminate against, or make employment decisions about individuals
  • scrape, copy, or extract the assessment, reports or content for use elsewhere
  • resell access to Simpatico or its reports
  • create multiple accounts to get around Free-tier limits
  • attempt to access data the database rules don't grant you
  • use Simpatico for anything unlawful
  • use bots, scripts or other automated ways to access Simpatico
  • probe or test Simpatico's security without our permission (reporting a problem to support@besimpatico.com is welcome)
  • try to make SIA produce harmful content, or abuse it
  • enter someone else's sensitive personal information
  • harass anyone, or pretend to be someone else
  • use Simpatico's reports or outputs to build a competing product or to train an AI model

If you do, we can suspend or close your account. We'll tell you why, unless the law or someone's safety prevents it. If we close an account for breaking these Terms, there's no refund. Unless the law or safety prevents it, you can ask for a copy of your data first; after that, it's deleted under the normal deletion rules.

11. Deleting your account

You can delete your account any time by emailing support@besimpatico.com from your account's address. The account holder deletes an individual account; an organization's admin deletes the organization's account. Deletion erases everything — answers, traits, reports, check-ins, notes, SIA conversations, your manual rating — and kills every shared link. One-time purchases go with it. If you're on Blueprint, deleting your account ends the subscription at once, with no refund for the rest of the period. There is no grace period and we cannot restore it. The Privacy Policy has the details.

Accounts not signed in to for two years are deleted after a warning email.

12. Our promises — and their limits

We provide Simpatico "as is" and "as available." We work hard to make it good, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any report will be accurate. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We're not liable for decisions you, your manager, or anyone else makes based on Simpatico's output; losses from shared links being read by people you didn't intend; or indirect, consequential or incidental damages of any kind, including lost profits or lost data.

Our total liability to you for anything arising from these Terms or from Simpatico is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

If you misuse Simpatico — for example, by sharing someone else's data without their consent, or by using someone's profile to make an employment decision — and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you'll cover our reasonable costs of that claim.

Some states don't allow some of these limits. Where that's the case, they apply only as far as the law permits.

13. Changes to Simpatico and these Terms

We can change, add or remove features. If we change these Terms in a way that matters, we'll email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect, and ask you to accept the new Terms the next time you sign in. A change to section 15 never applies to a dispute you've already told us about. We will never change the rule that individual data is invisible to managers and organizations.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and section 15 is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act. Any claim that isn't arbitrated goes to the state or federal courts for Washtenaw County, Michigan.

15. Disputes — arbitration and class-action waiver

Talk to us first. If you have a problem, email support@besimpatico.com. Most things can be fixed in a conversation. Before either of us starts an arbitration, the one with the claim sends the other a written notice (email is fine) saying what it is and what they want, and we both try to settle it for 60 days.

Binding arbitration. If we can't, any dispute between you and Simpatico Solutions LLC will be settled by binding individual arbitration, not in court, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. We pay all AAA fees beyond the filing fee those rules assign to you. The arbitration will take place in Michigan or remotely, at your choice. The arbitrator's decision is final.

Small claims exception. Either of us can bring an individual claim in small claims court instead.

Class-action waiver. You and Simpatico agree that disputes will be resolved one at a time. Neither of us will bring or join a class action, collective action or representative proceeding.

If part of this fails. If the class-action waiver can't be enforced for a claim, that claim goes to court (section 14) — never to a class arbitration. Nothing here stops you from asking for public injunctive relief where the law guarantees that right; that request goes to court, after your individual claims are arbitrated.

No jury. If a claim goes to court, you and we both give up a jury trial, as far as the law allows.

Opt-out. You can opt out of this arbitration section by emailing support@besimpatico.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, with your account email and a statement that you opt out.

16. The rest

If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us. You can't transfer your account or these Terms to someone else; we can transfer them if Simpatico Solutions LLC is sold, and we'd tell you. If we don't enforce a part of these Terms once, we haven't given it up. We're not responsible for delays caused by things outside our control, such as outages at our providers. We send notices by email, and you agree to receive these Terms and other records electronically. Sections that by their nature should last beyond the end of your account (like 12, 14 and 15) do. Stripe, Google sign-in and Cal.com have their own terms. Simpatico is offered in the United States.
